Mondo has released Academy Award-winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla’s score for “The Last of Us” — mastered for vinyl by James Plotkin — to positive reviews.
Modern Vinyl notes that:
Santaolalla’s score has enough emotional depth that the narrative comes simply out of imagination (albeit a dark, somber one). It stands as a companion to the game and stands on its own as one of the more memorable scores of the last few years, being artful while complimenting what should already be considered “art.”
The site also praised the sound quality of the vinyl – giving it a perfect rating on its scoring system and writing:
